Calling Sydney, Australia home, Evan Shipard has been a concept
artist/ digital matte painter/ vfx artist since 2000 working for
various companies in the post production industry. Previously
he spent 2 years in the print design industry and has a background
in illustration.
After
being awarded a scholarship to study at the Design Centre in Sydney
he initialy moved into 3d and compositing. He has since produced
work on films such as The Core, The Last Samurai, and more recently
conceptualised vfx for World Trade Centre and art directed on
300. His work has been recognised in Ballistic Publishing's Painter
and Concept art books, winning him an excellence award for his
Forgotten Hope art.
